Jeff Barnes

Mr. Barnes has over 30 years of experience leading healthcare businesses.  He is currently serving as a Board Director for Luxsonic Technologies, an early-stage healthcare company.  Jeff also is working with several private equity firms helping them evaluate potential healthcare investments.  

Mr. Barnes retired from Philips in 2019 as Chief Executive Officer of Philips Canada, a $400 million leading health technology company focused on improving people’s health and enabling better outcomes across the health continuum. Before his role as CEO of Philips Canada, Mr. Barnes was a Senior Vice President and North American Commercial Leader of Philips Healthcare, a $6 billion business where he successfully led a 1,200+ person commercial team and managed significant change in the go-to-market strategy for North America. Prior to his commercial leadership role, Mr. Barnes led Philips’s Home Healthcare business in North and South America (August 2011-October 2014).  Before joining Philips, Mr. Barnes was an Executive Vice President of Global Commercial Operations for iCAD where he achieved 134% profitable growth over a 30-month period and was instrumental in acquiring radiation therapy disrupter, Xoft.  

Jeff’s trademark is designing and implementing profitable growth plans.  Jeff has deep experience in digital health, healthcare IT, and medical devices, and has demonstrated strong leadership results across the cardiology, radiology, oncology, pathology, clinical informatics, and home healthcare sectors. Mr. Barnes has held numerous board seats including directorships at Philips Medical Capital, the American Association of Home Healthcare, and angel fund Virtual Incubation Technologies.  Prior to Jeff’s extensive tenure as an executive, he received his BA in Economics, cum laude, from St. Lawrence University and later earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
